Michael Fikaris is a multidisciplinary artist who is known for his spanning drawings, comics, printmaking and street art. Fikaris’ printmaking later transformed into zines, which he exhibited in light boxes. Alongside these group shows and graphic novels, Fikaris was painting the streets. His artwork evolved from a sort of reading robot, to a floating or pointing character. Fikaris’ artistic oeuvre has allowed him to experience diverse opportunities around the globe. He has worked on 1,000 art tours and has street art located in Lisboa, Portugal. He has also spent some time living overseas in Canada and the US.
GETTING LOST
"Getting Lost" was painted in the back alleys of Lisbon, Portugal in 2017. “Getting Lost” is also part of the series END POINTS, a mono series of drawings studying people caught in moments of connection and disconnection. This started as a drawing of someone waiting for a train, then it was redrawn and drawn again before Fikaris refined it to a set of defining lines.
