“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster himself. If you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you” - Nietzsche
Inspired by Nietzsche's nihilism, this artwork takes the form of a Yokai parade who’s eyes stare at the viewer with the only purpose of making him feel discomfort. Just like the unavoidable emotions that lie inside us, these insistent eyes represent these so-called monsters that Nietzsce mentioned in his quote, staring with piercing eyes directly from the abyss.
