The June party is one of the biggest popular parties in Brazil and takes place throughout the month of June. Of pagan origin, the June party was influenced by Catholicism and was introduced in Brazil by the Portuguese in the colonial period. Here in Brazil, the June party also had influences from Indigenous and African culture, giving rise to a multicultural party across the country. In the month of June, during the June party, the days of Santo Antônio, São João and São Pedro are celebrated. This party of various cultures is composed of a lot of diversity: typical foods and drinks, fun games, dances, music and a multicolored aesthetic with typical clothes, colored paper flags, bonfire, balloons and fireworks.
