Charity auction for the single minted version of my Kobe/Gigi tribute piece. Profit will be donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. The owner of this NFT can also claim a 1/1 canvas print of the artwork (can only be claimed once).
Some background on this artwork:
I created this piece in November 2019, two months prior to the tragic passing of Kobe and his daughter Gianna. It was part of my wider “Next Gen” series, which highlighted NBA stars and their talented offspring. Following the heartbreaking accident in January 2020, this piece took on new significance and began to resonate with people across the globe. It received significant interest on social media, and was shared and replicated on murals, bootleg apparel and in the media.
It wasn’t until after the fact that I also realized Kobe had actually “liked” the artwork at some stage on Instagram, which still gives me goosebumps thinking about...
This is a great opportunity to raise some money for a cause that’s close to my heart, and allow one lucky collector the chance to own the only minted version of this artwork.
