Resist Racists to avoid racism: the resistance.
Round and round we go in our venture for mutual respect and appreciation of each other as people of Earth.
Sometimes it feels as though we are making ground but at other times we seem to have lost even that.
1960 to 2020, from Martin Luther King to the leaders who have stood and are standing up now against tyranny and systemic racism in the US and other countries following the death of George Floyd. A human being who died in public view, whilst in police custody, calling for his Mama and begging to be allowed to breathe.
United we stand, together we fall. Can we stand together now as one but of different beliefs, cultures and skin to say “enough’? Be as one to say ‘Black lives matter’?
And yes, all lives matter. Your life matters. Resist racism, resist the sound of the whistles blown to divide us.
Do not let them pick us off group by group, one by one. No matter what intolerance is practiced against us we will resist, we will not stand for it. We will not stand by and be prejudiced against, ostracized, brutalized or murdered by the arms and forces of our governments. We will stand together and fight.
We will not stand by while our brothers and sisters are persecuted due to their race, sex, sexuality or class. We see the systems you have set up and their distribution of wealth and of justice.
We see you murdering our brothers and sisters in other countries, we see you murdering us in our hometowns. We see now that you have used the power we gave to you to oppress us when we resist you. We resist racism. We are the resistance.
