This piece is a high quality photo of a 6 panel oil painting. The painting was created by combining elements from other artists paintings including raphael, rubens, caravaggio and others. I got the idea to combine elements like this from hip hop music where "sampling" is prevalent. These elements are juxtaposed to create my view on the world today.

In the middle upper panel shiva is blended together with jesus into one deity.

The underlying thought process behind the combination of these ideas is best left to the viewer.
In hindu mythology, the "kali yuga" is the current age of man. it is the most evil age. when it ends, we will go back to an age of innocence.

NFN Kalyan is an Indian-American artist living and working in Miami. His early work was all sculpture, painting and mixed media but in the middle of his meteoric rise in the American fine art market, Kalyan pivoted into the NFT world. In each of his drops, Kalyan tries to push the fine art possibility of the NFT medium.

Each one of Kalyan's works is about the destructive nature of the human condition. He is hard but empathetic with the message. He says, "The great men we have killed, the environment we have destroyed and the lies we tell ourselves are terrible things. But we are supposed to hate the sin and love the sinner. And the sinner is everyone who looks at my work. And the sinner is me. Because we are all human."
