The backstory:
Did anyone read about the story of an elephant that went viral in social media?
Someone fed it pineapple, with firecrackers embedded in it.
The crackers exploded in her mouth and in acute pain, she went into a stream, stood there to possibly try to soothe the searing pain. She died standing in the stream.
She was pregnant and did not hurt anyone.
How cruel can some people be?

This is a serie of paintings that I did from the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown beginning March 2020.
During this period, I have just shuttered by technology startup company which nearly bankrupted my family. It marked the end of the nightmare decade of trying to stay afloat, whilst bringing up my 3 toddlers.
I had just started another company and business has been good. For the first time since the birth of my first child, our family could finally afford proper meals in decent eateries and life has become a little better.
As you may also notice, the new works have also taken on their new style which has more definition, positive, contrasts and colorful.
I have also begun to love the styles of Picasso and more contemporary art legends like Warhol and Basquiat. You will see some of the strokes and compositions from them in my new stuffs.
