The backstory:
A famous novelist once said that “If you have two friends in your lifetime, you're lucky. If you have one good friend, you're more than lucky.”
When I was a kid, I always wanted to have lots of friends but as I grow older, I realized that this is not as important as having a handful of truly good friends.
Many people would have passed by your life path over the decades. Some of them made an impact on you, some are just a fleeting glimpse ..
Just like leaves in the wind.
Occasionally, there is this one special-looking leaf that catches your eyes, but, just as with any Hi-bye friends, it disappears as soon as the next gust of wind blows by.
"Hello, my new friend. Nice to make your acquaintance."...
"Bye bye, friend, till we meet again, someday..."

This is a serie of paintings that I did from the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown beginning March 2020.
During this period, I have just shuttered by technology startup company which nearly bankrupted my family. It marked the end of the nightmare decade of trying to stay afloat, whilst bringing up my 3 toddlers.
I had just started another company and business has been good. For the first time since the birth of my first child, our family could finally afford proper meals in decent eateries and life has become a little better.
As you may also notice, the new works have also taken on their new style which has more definition, positive, contrasts and colorful.
I have also begun to love the styles of Picasso and more contemporary art legends like Warhol and Basquiat. You will see some of the strokes and compositions from them in my new stuffs.
