Space amaze me, and I enjoy the process of creating art pieces that shows the universe in a creative form.
Slowly the Earth spins on its axis. Looking at the celestial south pole you will see the stars following a path around this centre in the sky best viewed when time is sped up.
This time-lapse showcases this movement using 520 still photographs over 5 hours until sunrise. You can see the light begin to show on the canola towards the end of the time-lapse casting shadows providing light to the golden flowers.
The first sequence of this video is a cumulative light blend showcasing the circular motions in the night sky. I find it intriguing photographing the hidden geometry only possible to see with a camera.
The second sequence uses the same 520 photographs processed to show the individual stars moving around one point in the night sky. It is mesmerising to watch showing the movement in the sky sped up faster than what we can see.
