Levitated Mass by Michael Heizer at the LACMA shot on 35mm film. A 456-foot-long concrete slot constructed on LACMA’s campus, over which sits a 340-ton granite megalith. As visitors walk into the slot, it gradually descends to fifteen feet in depth, running underneath the boulder into an open central chamber before ascending back up. Levitated Mass will open to the public on June 24, 2012, and will be situated north of the Lynda and Stewart Resnick Exhibition Pavilion, near the museum’s 6th Street entrance.
Westward II is a genesis collection of film and digital photography exploring the architecture and unique landscapes of Los Angeles, California.
Most of these photos were displayed at my second solo show, ZX-30, in Santa Monica, CA. In addition, members who purchase an NFT will have the option to receive a signed print of the high-resolution image, which can be sent to you at no charge. Hit me up for free photography tips and lessons!
