I wanted to create a real and a surreal world for this collaboration; the result is a photograph within a photograph. I love shooting inanimate objects and find that shoes tell a story; Van Gogh’s clogs have always held a special place in my visual memory. I also draw inspiration from the advertising photography of Paul Outerbridge and the works of Man Ray and Nickolas Muray.
