“Ghosts in the Machine” captures the deterioration of a 2009 MacBook Pro and its struggle against its inevitable obsolescence. The spontaneous digital spectrum expressions that make up this work began randomly appearing on the laptop’s monitor during its final functioning days, revealing the colorful disruption, dissolution and ultimate death of a digital ecosystem.

As such, the artwork is considered “born digital” in that its images were in fact created by the computer. These glitchy, ghost-like apparitions were then captured by the artist and remixed, with an accompanying original score, into this one-of-a-kind digital artwork.

Unlockable content includes .mp3 of original score and high-res mobile wallpapers!
