About Victor Solomon

Renowned artist Victor Solomon looks to basketball as a vessel for his creativity and as a vehicle to break down walls and bring communities together. Through his Literally Balling project he explores the icons and totems of sport and adds opulence to them in unexpected ways.

His latest project employs the technique of Kintsugi to reimagine and repair a court in South Los Angeles, an image in both design and purpose aimed to heal a community following a year of unprecedented hardship. In support of the project, Solomon also reconstructed a ceramic basketball in the same Kintsugi style partnering with photographer Andrew Kenney to 3D scan each fragment and release as individual NFTs.
