Warrington Wolves RLFC are excited to be marking the launch of our new 2022 home and away kits with a series of collectable digital artworks.
The Club will become the first in global Rugby League to drop NFTs, giving supporters and collectors the opportunity to own a unique piece of digital content ahead of the new season.
This 7 of 7 collectable pieces of digital content will include a square animated image of the new 2022 home and away kits worn by marquee half-back George Williams alongside an animated signature.
George Williams joined Warrington Wolves as a marquee signing midway through the 2021 season on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The England and Great Britain international is one of the world’s most talented half-backs, with the vision in attack and creative flair to get his team over the line and a strong kicking game to boot.
The half-back came through the ranks at his hometown club Wigan Warriors back in 2013, where he went on to win two Super League titles and the World Club Challenge before moving to Australia to test himself in the NRL with the Canberra Raiders.
Williams’ reputation grew on the big stage down under and when he was released from his Raiders contract on compassionate grounds, a return to the UK and an opportunity to join Warrington game calling.
The 27-year-old made an instant impact on his debut, slotting over the winning drop-goal in a dramatic 27-26 win over Leeds Rhinos.
Williams went on to score three tries in his eight appearances in 2021 and heading into the 2022 season is in the prime of his career. To date he has scored 76 tries in 228 career appearances.
Next year Warrington are chasing their first Super League title and a fit and firing Williams is the star player in their arsenal.

The seven collectable pieces of digital content will be part of this unique collection and will include a square animated image of the new 2022 home and away kits worn by marquee half-back George Williams alongside an animated signature.
Furthermore, each purchaser will receive a personalised video message from Williams for cards 1-6 and then some of the (funny) outtakes that were captured when filming to be included in card 7. The owners of the NFTs will also be sent a physical shirt that will be signed by Williams himself and framed. A truly unique collector’s item that will be the first of its kind in Rugby League.
