This piece was created in collaboration with Aloe Blacc in order to commemorate Avicii (Tim Bergling) leading up to the anniversary of Tim's death on 4/20.
Aloe shared his vision of what the lyrics from "Wake Me Up" meant to him, and I drew this in a stream of consciousness style while listening to the song. The result is a piece meant to communicate both the pain and the hope that exists within all of us.
Proceeds from this NFT will be donated both to the Tim Bergling Foundation as well as to a few other Mental Health causes. Unlockable content includes a Music Video showing my drawing process synced with "Wake Me Up" by Avicii.
These pieces were created in a free-form style - meant to express the various emotions and thoughts I am experiencing while I draw.
I don't consider anything that results a mistake, I simply build off of what I have drawn and try to create a balance across the canvas.
I usually begin a drawing and don't stop until it is finished, and am often inspired by the music I listen to while working.
