This is a collection of seven works created from a mediocre snapshot of an orchid. It was a challenge to myself–pick a random photo. Make it frameworthy. The photo–a Nikon snapshot, up close, no macro lens. The challenge: make it beautiful, interesting, something I want to put on my wall.
This is my collection of photos and art. I photograph everyday things...things it'd be easy to pass by.
About me:
My art career ended at age seven. "You can't color," someone said. "You're not an artist."
So I became a writer instead. Since I was "not an artist," I kept my camera close by, from age seven to now.
Everyone's an artist. You just have to be willing to share.
I love photography, shodo, sumi-e, and thanks to tips from an 8 year old artist halfway across the world--I'm learning digital art. I posted my first NFT to keep a promise to him. (See Arthus Ng's Snake Overload in my collection).
