The lotus is the flower that grows through the mud. Then, it shines.
People call it invasive in these parts--they hunt it down and rip it out of local ponds. That makes me love it even more. It's persistent. It transcends. It's an inspiration and lesson at the same time.
The lotus has great meaning to me, so I'm creating it as my first NFT.
About Dawn:
I live in the Eastern US with my family, two dogs, and a bunch of chickens.
I write, and I take photos of things that bring me joy, mostly ordinary things, overlooked.
This is my collection of photos and art. I photograph everyday things...things it'd be easy to pass by.
About me:
My art career ended at age seven. "You can't color," someone said. "You're not an artist."
So I became a writer instead. Since I was "not an artist," I kept my camera close by, from age seven to now.
Everyone's an artist. You just have to be willing to share.
I love photography, shodo, sumi-e, and thanks to tips from an 8 year old artist halfway across the world--I'm learning digital art. I posted my first NFT to keep a promise to him. (See Arthus Ng's Snake Overload in my collection).
