Pollock Punk #5324 "Number 1A"

Jackson Pollock actually has 2 works that are titled “Number 1.” The first, which was the inspiration for this Punk was painted in 1948. The second was painted in 1949.

“Number 1, 1948” was so unique and ahead of its time, that it did not sell as audiences were taken aback at its boldness.

When Jackson Pollock painted his second “Number 1” in 1949, he renamed this piece “Number 1A to avoid confusion for buyers.

Number 1A is an awe-inspiring piece. Not only did Pollock use a variety of colors, but he also used a variety of matte, glossy, enamel, acrylic and oil based paints.

It was eventually purchased by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and remains on display there.

Pollock Punk #5234 pays homage to Jackson Pollock's Number 1A. Similar to Pollock Punk #2140, it's a 1/1 unique, and the only piece in the "Number 1A Collection".

Pollock Punks is an Original Digital Art Project on the Ethereum Blockchain paying homage to Jackson Pollock and his most iconic works.

Pollock was a master of the “action painting” technique in which he used frenetic and chaotic movements to scatter paint across the entirety of the surface he was painting. This “all-over” style of painting as it was also known was groundbreaking and formed the foundation of the abstract expressionism movement.

Pollock created an artistic revolution.

Now, in 2021, we pay tribute to his bold ingenuity with our own NFT Art!

We'll be dropping a total of 500 Pollock Punks.

These will be unique 1/1 artworks, individually signed by the artist.

All Jackson Pollock Punk owners will receive a link to download the high quality art for printing.

Although inspired by the OG Crypto Punks, this project is not affiliated with Larva Labs or the Jackson Pollock Estate.

Don't wait to buy, these will sell out! 🚀
