XCOPY does not need an introduction! This London based artist is an OG in the crypto art space and has been on SuperRare.co right from the launch. He has been posting experimental gif art on Tumblr since 2010 and was even featured on Tumblr’s artist spotlight! He was a featured crypto artist on the plasmabears collectible game platform. He is best known for his “flashing imagery” and through his intense, distorted visual loops and glitchy art-noise, he explores death, dystopia and apathy.
Little else is known about XCOPY, although his Tumblr feeds suggest that he was an early advocate of crypto-art and that he has faced some backlash while trying to get artists to explore the crypto-art space. We love XCOPY for his unique style and for supporting this community right from the very beginning.
