Senneh Il finissimo Senneh proviene da un’area del Kurdistan, Iran nord-occidentale, che all’epoca (terzo quarto del XIX secolo) era famosa per l’eccellenza dell’annodatura. Tra le tre principali manifatture curde : Gerus, Bijar e Senneh, quest’ultima è indubbiamente la più finemente annodata. Il tappeto dall’impianto classico con medaglioni esagonali concentrici, il più grande dei quali copre l’intero campo, propone il tradizionale motivo herati in una versione minuta e definita. La trama singola e l’ordito di seta di cinque differenti colori che hanno supportato l’annodatore dandogli precisi punti di riferimento, sono le caratteristiche tecniche peculiari che rendono il tappeto ricercatissimo dai collezionisti.

Senneh The very fine Senneh comes from an area of Kurdistan, north-western Iran, which at the time (third quarter of the 19th century) was famous for its excellent knotting. Among the three main Kurdish manufactures: Gerus, Bijar and Senneh, the latter is undoubtedly the most finely knotted. The carpet with a classic layout with concentric hexagonal medallions, the largest of which covers the entire field, offers the traditional herati motif in a minute and defined version. The single weft and the silk warp of five different colors that supported the knotter by giving him precise points of reference, are the peculiar technical characteristics that make the carpet highly sought after by collectors.
