2017, digital Title inspired by the book (secretly written between 1958 and 1967 and published in France in 1973) by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008), a Russian novelist and outspoken critic of the Soviet Union and its Gulag forced labour camp and terror system. Himself spent eight years in these Gulag work camps as a political prisoner from 1945 to 1953. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was awarded the 1970 Nobel Prize in Literature.
