One of the first few songs that I’d ever heard by Avicii was Fade Into Darkness. It quickly became a part of my on-the-bus playlist on my way to art school. It was the first time I found myself resorting to music for peace of mind. Listening to this song has become a ritual of sorts ever since. My safe space to drown out the outside world and be in a place where everything slows down. Whenever I’m in a crowded place I use this song to drown out the noise.

This sunset at Joshua Tree was one of those moments.
