This is the first photo in our Tuff x Shabazz Collection. Taken in Soho NYC, "Connected" shows the brotherly and sisterly love between Tuff and Bobo Layz seen here with hands connected in a 'trinity', symbolizing their connection to each other, King Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who is reverenced as god and King of Rastafari people. This photo was taken when Tuff was 16 and more collaboration with Brother Shabazz was in store for the future.
Collectors will receive a digital download of the photo and an unreleased acoustic version of Tuff's song "Keep Your Head Up" as well as a physical print of the artwork on canvas. (Please note that only the primary/original collectors will receive the physical print and it may not be included in a secondary resale of NFT. Also additional fees may be required for shipping outside of the US)
The Tuff x Jamel Shabazz Collections is the culmination of years of friendship and photography. Tuff and Brother Shabazz met in NYC in a chance encounter that led to this amazing photograph and collection. Tuff, age 16, was shopping in SOHO NYC with friend Bobo Layz at the time. Brother Jamel Shabazz is known as a prominent documentarian of NYC hip hop culture and has released the signature books on old school street style "Back in The Days" and "A Time Before Crack". Tuff went on to become an independent fashion designer, and later international Reggae recording artist.
