"Piki Takata" was the largest Carved Geisha I had painted at the time. Following a trip I had taken to Hawaii to help with the Street Art festival Pow!Wow!, I was inspired to paint larger than I ever had. The physical art piece measured 1500mm x 1000mm. Piki Takata was exhibited in a number of shows and also travelled to the likes of Beijing from New Zealand to be on display at the National Art Museum of China (2019) She managed to make it back to New Zealand just before the first Covid19 lockdown. She then traveled to Queenstown where she now resides with her new home. This is a 1/1. Painted in 2018.
Carved Geisha are Dominique Baker's genesis NFT collection of hand-painted and carved acrylic paintings on wood. These paintings were created from 2016 onwards.
"My work is informed by street art and exploring a range of methods of making, resulting in visually intricate pieces
Carved acrylic paintings are my own style which have evolved out of knowledge passed down from Master Artists Michel Tuffery and Flox."
