KERMODE is a simple film by Dan Gaud in collaboration with Narcity Canada. KERMODE is meant to showcase Vancouver coming back to life. All we have to do is follow the Spirit Bear!

  • 20% of proceeds will be donated to the Vancouver Visual Arts foundation
  • Buyer will also receive high res video file

About the artist: Digital artist by day, film director by night and sometimes game designer when the other two jobs aren't time consuming enough, Dan has been making weird stuff using computers for 20 years now. Dan also feels really old for writing this. Yikes. 20 years. Dan is fat now and is proudly rocking his Dad Bod. His new old man firmware upgrade gave him the feature to have a headache lasting 24h after drinking one raspberry flavoured Nude. It's great! Don't get old kids. Seriously. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, Dan's bio! Well, he also lives in North Vancouver, he worked on a bunch of movies back in the mid-2000s but now he mostly sticks to commercials because they are way more fun and he gets to work with his friends all the time. He also makes a killer poutine with REAL Quebec cheese curds and the gravy is made from scratch! Dan also recently completed his science-fiction anthology called AUTOMATIC and it's coming out on CBC Gem soonish and hopefully you'll give it a look.

Back To The City collection image

For the past year and a half, we haven’t been able to do the one thing we love the most: exploring our favourite nar-city. We all miss the hustle and bustle of downtown, the sound of glasses clinking on a rooftop patio, and the smell of fresh flowers at the farmer’s market.

Back To The City pays tribute to all the wonderful cities we can now start exploring again. It’s an opportunity for us to see the place we live in with fresh, new eyes.

Our goal is to promote local Canadian artists and support the Arts. We teamed up with three extraordinary artists for this special collection of NFTs and will be donating 20% of the proceeds to foundations supporting the arts in each respective city. We hope these NFTs inspire you to get outside and go back to the city!

NFT owners will unlock a physical component and access passes through an exclusive Narcity membership. Learn more: https://www.narcitymedia.com/news/narcity-media-launches-first-nft-collection-created-by-local-artists
