Gelena Pavlenko (Vorobieva) was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1969. Gelena trained at the Ukrainian Art Academy. Her work has featured in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine,Poland,Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Italy, the USA and Canada.

Artist's Works is represented in the permanent Сollection of the National Museum of history of Ukraine, Kyiv,Ukraine and in the permanent Collection of Salmagundi Art Club, New York ,NY, USA, in the permanent Collection of Ukrainian Museum in New York, NY, USA . She is based in Pennsylvania, USA, where she lives with her husband and son.

The «Namysto» collection consist of many original NFT beads created by hundreds of Ukrainian artists of all ages. This project is created to support Ukrainian artists and army during the Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

Namysto - a traditional Ukrainian decoration of pearls, corals, stones, etc., worn around the neck. Namysto are one of the oldest jewelry known since the Paleolithic. Now they are worn mainly by women, but historically they have been used as jewelry by men. The Namysto necklace can also be named after the material - "corals", "beads", "beads". One element of the Namysto necklace (pearl, stone, etc.) is called a «Namystyna» (rarely a bead).
