About the artist:

Oleksii Zheltonogov is a Ukrainian artist, born in Odesa, where he finished Kyriak Kostandi Art School (part of Odesa M.B. Grekov School of Fine Arts); later he graduated from Theater and Art School. In 1992 Oleksii joined the International Association of Artists (in partnership with UNESCO).

Since 1994 he has been a participant of International and Ukrainian Art Projects, author of his personal exhibitions in galleries of Odesa and Kyiv. Oleksii is a laureate of 7th All-Ukrainian Triennial of Graphics. He has participated in International Plein Air and art residencies. Oleksii is the author of “Graphic Tapestries” personal project in the National Folk Decorative Art Museum in Kyiv, Ukraine, 2020.

He has publications in such magazines as “Gallery”, “Public Affairs” of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2002), “Style” magazine (2007).

In 2003 the artist was honored with the certificate of acknowledgement from Kyiv mayor for his contribution into national culture and art development.

Oleksii Zheltonogov’s works are displayed in the collections of the National Folk Decorative Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine, private collections in Ukraine, France, Turkey, Israel, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, USA, Australia, Korea.

Namysto - a traditional Ukrainian decoration of pearls, corals, stones, etc., worn around the neck. Namysto are one of the oldest jewelry known since the Paleolithic. Now they are worn mainly by women, but historically they have been used as jewelry by men. The Namysto necklace can also be named after the material - "corals", "beads", "beads". One element of the Namysto necklace (pearl, stone, etc.) is called a «Namystyna» (rarely a bead).
