About the artist:

Veronika Cherednychenko – Ukrainian Contemporary visual artist. Was born in 1994 in Kherson, Ukraine. Works with classic and new media, participated in numerous exhibitions and projects. Currently lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine.

Education: • Lviv National Academy of Arts, Ukraine 2014-2020 • Warsaw Academy of Arts (students exchange program), Poland. 2017-2018 • Kyiv National Pedagogical University, 2012-2016

The «Namysto» collection consist of many original NFT beads created by hundreds of Ukrainian artists of all ages. This project is created to support Ukrainian artists and army during the Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

Namysto - a traditional Ukrainian decoration of pearls, corals, stones, etc., worn around the neck. Namysto are one of the oldest jewelry known since the Paleolithic. Now they are worn mainly by women, but historically they have been used as jewelry by men. The Namysto necklace can also be named after the material - "corals", "beads", "beads". One element of the Namysto necklace (pearl, stone, etc.) is called a «Namystyna» (rarely a bead).
