The indigenous community lives in in the shadows of the general population. They can be seen working the fields on the hillside farms or selling the fruit and vegetables they have grown on the streets. Some of them have adapted more than others to life post colonial invasion and are found working as gardeners, maids and cooks for the predominantly mestizo middle class.
A series of photographs taken on a journey taken from the east coast of Brazil at the mouth of the Amazon River all the way across the Amazon rainforest and up into the Ecuadorian Andes mountains.
This series of NFTs will help fund the creation of a book entitled `A journey into the heart of the world´. A journey across South America to Cayambe, a town in the Ecuadorian Andes where the world´s finest roses are grown. Ideally we would like the community of NFT holders to become a tight knit group who participate in the community building efforts.
The objective is to print the book and offer it for sale in order to raise funds for the Yachana Foundation, a foundation working to preserve the Amazon rainforest and support communities living inside it. See Yachana.com
