For a part of the journey I took a public transport boat up the river from Alter do Chao to Manaus. We ate together and slept in hammocks next to each other. We shared a shower that electrocuted us and we shared only one toilet. We ate the same beef, beans and rice. I really got to know the locals that live in the small settlements along the river.
A series of photographs taken on a journey taken from the east coast of Brazil at the mouth of the Amazon River all the way across the Amazon rainforest and up into the Ecuadorian Andes mountains.
This series of NFTs will help fund the creation of a book entitled `A journey into the heart of the world´. A journey across South America to Cayambe, a town in the Ecuadorian Andes where the world´s finest roses are grown. Ideally we would like the community of NFT holders to become a tight knit group who participate in the community building efforts.
The objective is to print the book and offer it for sale in order to raise funds for the Yachana Foundation, a foundation working to preserve the Amazon rainforest and support communities living inside it. See Yachana.com
