Staircase Session for Art Tech Music by Flux Art aka Clyde F. Smith is a 1/1 edition. It is the first release based on the improvisational Working Sessions collaboration of jazz trombonist Jeb Bishop and dancer Clyde F. Smith and the first NFT minted by Clyde as Flux Art.

Staircase Session was a site-specific improvisational event videotaped by filmmaker Neal Hutcheson in October 2016. Clyde then chose still images from the video of he and Jeb improvising for online publication.

Clyde, working as Flux Art, took these photos and used machine intelligence to create a series of painterly images. Staircase Session for Art Tech Music was originally minted in November 2020 for the Art Tech Music Miami event which took place in December 2020.

The first minting was burned in May 2021 and then reminted to identify Flux Art as the creator. This 1/1 edition is the only official minting of Staircase Session for Art Tech Music. A series of twelve additional images from the Staircase Session event will be minted separately but will not include this image.
