Steve is an Ace-Pilot, who made a name for himself after retiring from the police force after 18 years of duty. He became a work for hire pilot, doing odd jobs for various clients. During his runs around the galaxy, Steve developed a friendship with Dirk Domingo. Their team-ups over the years became the stuff of legend. Still, after the Governor of Vector-9 legally grounded Dirk for repeated transgressions, Steve continued his freelancing as courier and pilot for hire until he retired, living out his days to focus on his hobby: fixing antique cars and bikes. Years passed before Dirk returned to recruit him for the Danger-Squad.

"Three hundred years in the future, where humanity has genetically modified themselves into anthropomorphic creatures, a self-labeled captain named Dirk Domingo establishes a work-for-hire upstart endeavor called Danger-Squad. Dirk hires a mishappen group to lead through fantastic space-adventures while holding on to a secret that could doom them all. But, when he finds solidarity with his unlikely comrades, he's forced to resolve his actions before a gangster named Dante exacts his revenge."
