"Stained Glass Painting" is an animated GIF loop by Dax Norman. Hand Drawn sequential digital drawings. It is based on one of Dax's favorite acrylic paintings, which hangs in front of him while he works. That painting itself has such a pivotal and storied history for the artist, that Dax felt it necessary to explain the painted work in motion with this animated GIF.

The work illustrates a version of Dax's perpetual motion/ modular movement technique, which he is constantly refining as working blueprints for VR concepts currently in production.

The loop is a diagram of a moment in movement, based on a collage by Dax.

In his unique way of combining art and technology, Dax seeks to create a new way of painting, and in these GIFs, that aim intersects with a deep love of Film making, and drawing.

Dax Norman has created 5,000 animated GIFs, and 2 animated Feature Films at the time of this writing.

In 2019, Dax Norman drew 2 Pepsi commercials for the "Touchdown Slide" campaign, and was shown at Times Square, NYC, as part of Giphy arts at Nasdaq. Dax's work has also been seen on MTV, Adult Swim and Ipod Classics. For 10 years, Dax Norman was a college Digital Art Professor.
