Violet Magenta 004VM is the fourth piece in the Lotus LSD i / LSD Drops Collection and the artist's first ever multimedia piece. The stylized animation illustrates how the motif itself (and its meaning) has changed and persisted over time.

LSD Drops is a collection of loti based on artwork created by Nettra in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Inspired by pop art and LSD art created in the 1950s and 1960s, the artist digitally transformed her 1.5m x 1.5m (5ft x 5ft) acrylic- and charcoal-based painting to resemble one of the "stamps" in a piece of LSD art.

LSD Drops is intended to be an homage to enduring universal motifs and how their meaning persists — and evolves — over time. Lotuses were part of art by Egyptians, by Monet, by Cambodians and others, and now it is part of the LSD Drops collection here on OpenSea.

Note: the artist was not under the influence during the creation of these pieces.
