PETER DARLEY MILLER Is an American photographer, director and producer. A California naive, born and raised in Santa Monica and was educated at the prestigious Pasadena Art Center College of Design. Miller began his career as a still photographer and won numerous awards for his album covers and movie posters. One of his most acclaimed pieces is his poster work for Shawshank Redemption. Miller’s innovative style and narrative has established him as a very sought-after director. His early film career began in Music Videos where he made his name via Eric B and Rakim‘s legendary “Casualties of War” charting on “yo-mtv-raps”. He additionally co-wrote “Rock The Vote”. He has directed several award-winning campaigns for Nike, Sony, Discovery Communications, Burger King, Virgin Mobile, AT&T, Mini Cooper, College Sports Network, NASCAR, Playstation, Lexus, VISA, EA Games, BMW, Mercedes and various others. Recently, Miller has wrapped campaigns for ESPN, World Surf League, and State Farm. His outstanding commercial work has earned him several accolades including multiple Cannes Gold Lions, a CLIO, Art Directors Club awards and a Director's Guild of America nomination for Best Commercial Director. In 2016, his hilarious spot for videoconferencing service Join. I won AICP and AICE awards in the humor category. Followed by an Emmy for “Boston Bruin” 2019. Miller’s commercial endeavors have since broadened into the long-form format. Recently, he wrote and directed a long-form piece for Hulu’s 11.22.63, creating a companion teaser for the series and the award winning short “Zero”. Miller also wrote and directed “Alice in Chains 23,” a short film for Funny or Die. Returned in 2019 with AIC and Peter directing “Rainier Fog” acclaimed by Rolling Stone with over 1.5 million views.
