As an avid Beatle music lover, I know there are a number of unfinished masterpieces from the three main writers of The Beatles. One such song is from George Harrison - When Every Song Is Sung, written and a demo recording during the All Things Must Pass session. George never finished the track, there is a rough demo of the track on Soundcloud, which I used as a base for the initial track. Cilla Black did a version, and Ringo also did a version, which George didn't like and subsequently sued Ringo. True Story. I also used Ringo's attempt as another base for the version I did. I produced, performed, mixed and mastered the whole track.
The visual accompaniment is a single shot film painting of The Moon, shot in 2015 - Newcastle, Australia - 1920x1080p 8-bit SRGB. The film painting, through effects manipulation takes on a fractal like pulse with the lyrics anchoring the entire visual musical work.
This category will contain all my visual music works. These works will be constructed from film, animation and mixed media. The music will be varied too - from my own visual music compositions to covers like my take on the lost George Harrison classic When Every Song is Sung. Visual music is an idea that goes back to The Greeks and beyond. My particular take on visual music stems from The Futurist art movement and their manifestos on visual music. Film painting being one such idea created by The Futurist and from which almost all moving image content descends from.
