"Three Kings" Background story from Anthony: This is the first image that launched my streetball project. I was working with a close friend of mine on a documentary about NYC hoops, and I shot this in my neighborhood of Bed-Stuy in 2012. It was the summer I came home for good after serving in United States Marine Corps.

Born in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, Geathers discovered photography in the seventh grade, and since then has focused his studies in mastering his craft.
Serving in the Marine Corps from 2008 to 2012, doing two combat deployments to Afghanistan as a machine gunner, Anthony has used his experience in the battlefield as a provoking statement, dictating the rhythm of his work. Anthony masterfully balances depicting the rawness of humanity with the essence of a powerful and uplifting spirit.
