Description:Contemporary Japanese beliefs in ”kawaii”, idol worship, and Lookism are inextricably linked to Shinto religious beliefs, in which all things are worshipped as gods. This work is based on the image of a heretical Shinto funeral that embodies Japanese culture and religious beliefs, and objectively exposes a part of the essence of the Japanese people by depicting the contours of a false image of faith without substance. At the same time, it presents a view of life and death that is martyred by kawaii. This is a ritual of overcoming the fear of death through kawaii, and by being cremated at this project and becoming only an NFT, she will be sublimated into a kawaii Shinto deity (a digital spirit), and at the same time, she will acquire a further connection with the theme of Merompas' work, "The intersection of the imaginary and the real".

Here are 100 NFT arts that were originally analogue ones and have already been blown up. The "Burning Art Exhibition" is a project that scans 100 real paintings and converts them into digital art by importing them as digital data, converts the 100 digital art pieces into NFT, then incinerates the original 100 real paintings, and finally auctions and sells the 100 NFT digital art pieces. 70% of the proceeds from the auction will be returned to the artists, which is a higher percentage than in other sales channels. In addition, a portion of the commission generated from secondary and subsequent transactions is also returned to them. We hope that blockchain technology will help to create a more artist-centred artistic environment.
