The authentic woodcut with several plates is a very time-consuming and difficulty process to produce a coloured print. For the numerous subtle colour nuances, the artist Olaf Hoppe had to cut seven different wooden plates and print them on top of each other with millimetre precision. With this specialised technique, the artist is internationally recognised.
