The highest bidder will receive an encrypted digitized token of Blackshadow’s original work captioned “ . . . for Your Art” (Schmincke Mussini oil - 2020) conveyed on the Ethereum blockchain as an NFT in perpetuity. The artist’s work and signature have been Authenticated with provenance from the artist to private collector in 2020 where it has remained. Upon deconstruction of the original, physical work at the conclusion of the Auction, the artist’s copyright will be donated to the Association for the Student of African American Life and History, leaving the NFT as the only remaining form of Blackshadow’s work to exist.
The artist continues to create multi-layered works of modern art in deep-hued oils, often using his art to challenge continued armament of law enforcement throughout the United States – a concept he portrays as reprehensible and irresponsible in the face of today’s startling reality.
