Sapporo Toho Japan Theater is a movie theater that was once located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Opened as a Western-style film theater on September 29, 1954, it had only one screen, but it has always been the top (in Hokkaido) in terms of the number of spectators and box office performance per year, not only in Sapporo but also in Hokkaido. It was building an era in the history of movie theaters in Hokkaido. In addition, the seats also have traditional upstairs seats, and along with "Teikokuza Kaikan," "Toho Plaza," and "Toho Kogaku," which were also located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, many theaters have one of the largest number of seats in Hokkaido. It was familiar to the people of Hokkaido. However, in March 2003, with the birth of the large cinema complex "Sapporo Cinema Frontier" at the JR Tower at Sapporo Station, the building of Toho Nikki was aging, so the function was transferred there. As of August 31, 2003, the 49-year history has come to an end in the form of scrap and build.
