The Empire Strikes Back - Complimentary Ticket 1989

When it came to producing tickets, security was high on the list. Genesis’88 commissioned the same company that produced tickets for Tina Turner, Michael Jackson and others. Falconer Press produced unique watermarked tickets with colours exclusive to the small company in St Albans. Fake ticket printers couldn’t match the colours or watermarks so they stood out from official tickets.

You’ll notice a change of date indicted by the white strip with new date. The original date had to be changed when the warehouse was discovered by police. Thousands of tickets were manually amended by Wayne’s family. The small white strip was stuck across the original date.

Genesis’88 | Acid House Collectibles 1988-90

Genesis’88 were staging large scale illegal events in warehouses and the occasional country field. The first event in December 1988 soon blossomed into an epic run of illegal parties in commandeered buildings across London and the M25. Wayne Anthony is one of the Genesis’88 Co-Founders. Thousands of people would attend Genesis’88 parties throughout the late eighties.
