"The project is based on Synchrodogs’ dreams, those they have seen in drowsiness. Charting that subtle space between wakefulness and sleep - familiar yet remote, the artistic duo have been experimenting with lucid dreaming and recording their supernatural visions to recreate them via photography and mixed media.
The project deals with the stage of Non Rapid Eye Movement sleep, during which some people may experience hypnagogic hallucinations caused by natural process of falling asleep. Experimenting with their own meditation technique, they usually woke themselves up in the middle of the night to make a note of what they had just seen, gathering their dreams to be staged afterwards."
Bio: Synchrodogs is a duo of artists from Ukraine, working with mixed media, photography and art direction since 2008.
They had countless exhibitions in galleries and museums like Guy Hepner gallery (New York), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Dallas Contemporary, Benaki Museum (Athens), Boston Museum of Fine Art, Galerie Blanc (Montréal), Office Project Room gallery (Milano) and many more.
Their clients include Louis Vuitton, BURBERRY, Lady Gaga, KENZO, BIMBA Y LOLA, WARP, Swarovski, Shiseido etc.
Their works were published on covers of magazines like Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, British Journal of Photography, Stylist France, The Impression (USA), TUSH, Neon, Zeit Campus magazine (Germany), S magazine, they also shot Mark Zuckerberg for Afisha magazine cover (Russia).
Superchief Gallery is the world's 1st physical dedicated NFT gallery space. Since we opened our first digital art gallery in Soho back in 2016, Superchief has held the belief that digital-native artwork was an essential art form to include as part of the larger art movement of our era. We have had been running our version of a traditional art gallery space since 2012 and by 2016 we knew well that there wasn't a clear way to monetize digital artwork. But we felt strongly that just because we couldn't sell it at the present time, didn’t mean it should be kept apart from the art community at large. These are artists we feel are brilliant and exciting, and should be part of the cultural exchange.
