Started back in 2012, "The Frida Series" is an ongoing project that showcases Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo in various forms and mediums. What started as a mixed media painting on canvas for a secret house concert, has now transcended to digital art beyond and soon to be extended reality.

"FRIDA 001 NFT (AR BUST)" is more than a 3D object. It's an organic piece that has grown over the years and will continue to do so. I am fascinated not only by this timeless artist, but by transcending mediums in which to honor and admire her via AR and beyond.

Unique one of a kind mixed media print on canvas (28.4 x 28.4in)

INSPIRATION: A Frida Kahlo postcard back in July 2012. PROCESS: Sharpie marker, graffiti, acrylic paint on canvas then digitally photographed and brought into Adobe and Gravity Sketch. The digital print is then texture mapped on a revolved piece of geometry positioned in front of a gold faceless bust. “FRIDA 001” is to refer to that original mixed media canvas piece that was created back in July 2012. The continuation and organic growth of this piece like all my work should be expected. CLOSING: This Frida piece is not only a tribute to the Mexican painter, and a way to hopefully bring people to research her and her work, but also a way to present different mediums of my work that transcend creation along its usual linear path.
