This painting is entitled The Two Fridas which was made in 1939. This painting was made by Frida after she divorced her husband, Diego Rivera. This painting depicts her suffering and loneliness due to the loss of her husband. This loneliness is expressed by Frida by depicting two figures of Frida Kahlo, with two different depictions. With one wearing a western dress and a tehuana dress, which is traditional Mexican attire. The two figures of Frida in the painting are depicted with a broken heart, where the hearts of both are linked with the image of blood vessels that flow blood to both sides of Frida. Two Fridas are seen holding hands in this painting.
