The original physical artwork was created in 2010, long before the wildfires of CA became "the new normal." I have a habit of burning my canvases and had no idea it would become something that had deeper meaning. This digital version uses the exact burn marks from the physical piece including the burnt away frame from in the upper left corner. The clouds revealed symbolize a better future ahead. While camping in Yosemite and smoking a nice joint, I had the vision of someday the skyline of the city would be visible over the peak of mountains.
