‘Post-Death or The Null Address' is depicting the NFT afterworld — 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 address or the burn address. In theory, burning an NFT effectively destroys the token and removes it entirely from the Ethereum blockchain. In practice, NFTs can't truly die because 0x000... is still a place with its own address. And the record of an NFT’s birth and death will still exist on the blockchain forever. Now an NFT is minted almost every second and one day a lot of them will inevitably end up at the burn address left collecting digital dust forever. So there they all sitting all together — silent reminders of a creator's missteps, unwanted and forgotten. I find it fascinating and decided to have a glimpse into their world. All creatures, figures, paintings you see are real burned NFTs. Some of them were burned by other artists and shared with me; some I found going through OpenSea's transaction history; some were my old and recent works. It's a wild notion but digital things are now truly the opposite of fragile and meant to outlive humans and are records of our existence...Good and bad.
