Pulp: huntress depicts a scene within a strip club in 1980’s Shinjuku city, Japan where the yakuza rule. Yuki is kidnapped and forced into prostitution due to a debt owed to the yakuza. She is murdered. However, she is resurrected for reasons unknown and now harnesses special powers. Now she seeks vengeance. Experimenting with film stocks & bright color tones the architecture and elements within this scene sculpt a particular mood and atmosphere. It is gritty, evocative, and above all raw.
