「Northern FUJI」
北海道・稚内市。撮影6月。気温10度。
ここは対岸に「利尻富士」を望む海岸。
川が流れ、海に流れ込む、海の先には利尻島。
作品的な観点からは山の造形が洗練された美しい三角で、流れ込む蛇行した川の曲線と、さらに長時間露光撮影で直線的な雲を合わせることで空間構成のバランスが完璧となる。
作品のイメージは、最初から白黒作品をイメージ。
山頂に残雪があり、溶けた部分とのバランスがベストなタイミングを選び、また雲の表情を印象深くするために曇天時を狙い、また波も長時間露光とすることで、白く浮かび上がらせる。
全てに白と黒の階調で表現することを考えた。
作品の最終の仕上げでは、ほんの少しブルーインクで描いたようなタッチで、アート性を上げることを意識した色の微調整を行っている。

"Northern FUJI"
Location: Wakkanai City, Hokkaido. Shooting time: June. Temperature: 10 degrees.
This is the coast overlooking "Rishirifuji" on the opposite bank.
Rishiri Island is at the end of the sea where the river flows and flows into the sea.
From a work point of view, it is a beautiful triangle with a sophisticated mountain shape, and the balance of the spatial composition is perfected by matching the curve of the meandering river that flows in and the straight clouds in long exposure photography.
The work is an image of a black and white work from the beginning.
There is residual snow on the top of the mountain, and the best balance with the melted part is selected, and the cloudy weather is aimed at to make the expression of the clouds impressive, and the waves are exposed for a long time to make them appear white.
I thought about expressing everything in black and white gradation.
In the final finish of the work, I make fine adjustments to the colors to improve the artistic quality, with a touch that looks just like drawing with blue ink.

自然風景の中に、どこか夢で見たかのような心象的な情景を探し、その「心象風景」＝「Phocolosical Landscape」を現実風景で表現することをテーマに作品づくりを行っています。
撮影コンセプトは、以下の2点 ①現実の風景を題材に日本画のような質感描写、絵本を思わせるファンタジーな情景描写にこだわった「絵画のような」風景写真 ②自然風景の中にある、シンプルで調和の取れたアートな造形
この2点をコンセプトに、光が織りなす一瞬の奇跡のような感動風景を表現することを目指す。 具体的な撮影手法は、 ①撮影コンセプトを元に、表現したい心象風景を、頭でイメージする。 ②そのイメージが、北海道の自然風景の中で、どう表現できるかを、完成後の作品のイメージを考えながらスケッチに描き起こす。 ③描き起こしたスケッチを元に、MAPや地形図を見ながら、撮影地を選考 ④撮影候補地を実際にロケーションハンティング。その際、気温、湿度、朝夕の色合い、造形、陽の方向、風向きなど気象条件を踏まえ作品となる情景をイメージしながら、撮影に適した場所かどうかをチェック ⑤撮影地が決まったら、イメージした情景（造形・色あい）になるまで何度でも通い詰める
こだわり 現実の風景が創り出す一瞬の奇跡のような「色あい」「造形」「質感」は、レタッチや、加工では表現できないと考えています。 「そのイメージした情景」になるまで何度も撮影に臨むスタイルで行っています
作品完成まで、一箇所の撮影地に際し、通い詰める回数は、平均20回以上 作品の構想から完成まで、3年程度かかるものも 年間の移動距離40000キロ〜50000キロ（地球一周分） 年間75回ほどの撮影で実際に作品となるものは「2〜3」
