Today, we, as human beings, living and breathing and breeding on Earth, all have a responsibility. Past generations believed in Earth’s continuity. Because life on Earth is a gift which, for many of us today who believe it so and are willing to put in work and effort, offers the power to fuel our wildest dreams.

But what is my dream?

I call it “The Howling Earth”. Its scream is nowhere to be heard to the majority of us. Barely audible for the rest of us.

Why is Earth screaming? She keeps giving and we keep taking. We keep taking as we keep taking it for granted. Without even giving it a thought.

What is the threat? Extinction. Our extinction. As we could be the last generation to ever borrow her time.

What should we do about it? We have to talk, keep talking and let everyone’s voice be heard. Talking is good. Acting is even better. Forgetting our current selfishness and patent laziness.

Acting, yes. But how? and by whom? We must rethink our priorities and the fundamentals. I am not talking about going back to the Old Stone Age. Progress is crucial to our survival.

A thought process solely focused on mutual wellbeing on Earth, by and for all its children. Indeed, everyone’s affected: from the older generations and their wake-up call, up to the today’s youth’s denial to accept and let go, all in the hope of being able to witness our children’s birth.

Inform… Educate… Act…

With this animation, I aim to provoke the spark of thought and build awareness of the situation in everyone’s mind no matter their age or background. Are we going to keep over consuming while risking of depleting and destroying our planet, or are we willing to shift our state of mind and focus our collective willpower on going back to basics so we can save our home?

If we all start doing our part in sharing and voicing our hopes and ideas, such as implementing distribution of wealth, focusing on reasonable and regulated production and consumption methods… This could one day be the key of change toward what it really means to live on Earth.
